Thoughts from a Yellow Dog Democrat living in Olympia, in the great BLUE state of Washington

I am a liberal because it is the political philosophy of freedom and equality. And I am a progressive because it is the political path to a better future. And I am a Democrat because it is the political party that believes in freedom, equality and progress. -- Digby

Laura Ingraham Inserts Foot in Mouth (Again)

Laura Ingram was on "Reliable Sources" and whined that conservative best selling authors never get the TV coverage Michael Moore or Al Franken gets.

Lie #1 -- books written by conservatives NEVER sell as much as books written by liberals -- so you're never going to catch up

Lie #2 -- I'm a big fan of Book TV. Here was their schedule at the same time Ingram was whining:

October 16 – 18
Book TV presented:Interview with Douglas Brinkley, Author of "Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War" followed by segment featuring John O'Neill, author of "Unfit for Command"
Book TV presented:Bill Sammon Misunderestimated: The President Battles Terrorism, John Kerry, and the Bush Haters
Book TV presented:Molly Ivins Bushwhacked: Life in George W. Bush's America
History on Book TVMax Holland, The Kennedy Assassination Tapes
Public LivesDick Wirthlin, The Greatest Communicator: What Ronald Reagan Taught Me about Politics, Leadership and Life

Charlie Rose (on PBS) had Graydon Carter who wrote "What We’ve Lost" debating Christopher Hitchens.

I guess Laura's too busy feeling sorry for herself to watch how fair and balanced good TV is. Her book "The Hillary Trap: Looking for Power in All the Wrong Places" is #96,581 on the Amazon ranking while "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right is ranked #4,902 and "Will They Ever Trust Us Again?" is #37.

Hey! Laura! Maybe they just don't like YOU and your books!
